They want to find a 'cure' for autism, which is impossible. Most autistic people do not want to be cured and would resist a cure even if it were found.

I agree with you Paul. I did one of the links 'DORE', I did the online tests for ADHD and Dyslexia for M just to see how he faired ( I have an idea he may also have these). They contacted me telling me that autism has been linked to the cerebral area and they have a program that will wake it up and M will lead a 'normal' life. silent Maybe I am being selfish but that scared the pants off me. affraid I love M and F for themselves and their little ways. Yes he and F are hard work but I wouldn't change them for the world. I don't know any other children than them. Maybe it's right for some people and I respect that but not for me.
